The region of Norrbotten is considered one of the last great wildernesses of northern Europe. There are numerous walks within easy reach of the Högbacka house in Nystrand. Immediately behind the property is a wonderful walk through the forest to the hilltops, the views are breathtaking. In the darkest days of winter to the longest days of summer, if properly dressed and prepared for whatever the season walking is a great form of relaxation and exercise.

Högbacka House is ideal as a base camp for Walking/Hill Walking Trekking clubs and groups.
