Throughout moderns times, Sweden has developed great tennis players, Mats Wilander, Stefan Edberg, Anders Jarryd, Joakim Nystrom and of course Bjorn Borg. Some say the latter was the greatest player (with the exception of) Rod Laver and perhaps in today's world Roger Federer / Rafael Nadal that ever stepped onto a tennis court.

Bjorn Borg won 62 singles titles, 11 grand slams, and 5 consecutive Wimbledon singles titles only equalled by Roger Federer in recent times.

The Swedes won five Davis cups in the 1980's.

So tennis is a much loved sport in Sweden and can be played all over the country both in indoor arenas and externally.

Högbacka House is ideal as a base camp for visiting tennis clubs and groups. There is a small external tennis club for summer only in the town.
